Scott Hall Milne | Leeds
Scott Hall Milne | Leeds
Scott Hall Mills dates back to Leeds’ 19th-century industrial expansion, with the site used over time for milling and manufacturing. Today it is associated with Charles F. Stead & Co, the long-established Leeds leather manufacturer, so the buildings remain part of the city’s working industrial landscape rather than simply being preserved as heritage.
Milne: The ancient northern dialect variation of "mill", directly derived from Old English and Old Norse. You will still see this spelling pop up in historic Yorkshire place names, wills, and land deeds.
